RAN Sailing
Swedish couple Malin & Johan have been long distance cruising for years. In January 2019 they both got new Sail Service sails for their Beason 40. Follow her exciting journey here (RAN Sailing).
One-hand non-stop around the world
Sail Service produced the sails for this in 2017: from Hydra Net sailcloth by Dimension Polyant (German sail cloth manufacturer), which is perfect for offshore use.
In Yacht 13/2018 there is a detailed article about Szymon Kuczynski’s circumnavigation record.
Quote from the yacht: “And what… worked particularly well? Kuczynski immediately starts chatting again – and rants about his two sails made of Hydra Net. They did their duty for eight months… I didn’t have a single hole in the sail, not a tear or a break at a crease” enthuses the Polish guy. „I didn’t have to pick up a needle once the whole time.“
Incidentally, Szymon Kaczynski also set a world record: as the smallest yacht of all time, he made it around the world alone and non-stop – in 270 days.
Sail Service is proud to have been a partner in this wonderful voyage as a sail supplier!
